Howl and Sophie on the Marshes

so I was looking at this picture [link] a while ago(like yesterday) and I realized it was really really messed up. Sophie was way too thin and the tops of their heads were way too big. all in all, my drawing style back then sucked (I did it like august 2009...) and I colored it last november. I mean, seriously, Howl's face was mush... I desided to fix it up last night, so here is the result. tell me which one you think looks better! ( I am not so sure I like the castle in the background... it looks awkward)

Howl, Sophie and Calcifer based on the book version of Howl's Moving Castle. This is supposed to be somewhere between the first book and the second book. I tried taking using the exact book descriptions, but I didn't bother changing Calcifer's teeth to purple and his eyebrows to green(way too lazy...)

I like the book better than the movie but then, all books are better than their movies. But I do love the movie too, I mean, it was how I first found out about Diana Wynne Jones, who is now my favorite author.

anyway, I think I did an ok job otherwise. let me know what you think
